I have recently updated the comment section for my LCARS theme as there seams to be an unknown error in the Zip, and i wanted to let people know that i was aware of it, so that i didn't keep receiving the same email.

It uploaded but it says it's waiting for approval, journeyman's skins don't get moderated so there must be an error? I've had no problem in the past so i updated another theme to set to see if it was just related to this theme which it's not.

Could someone have a look at this for me, I've email T-man but i think he is busy.

Thanks

Adam

OK I understand Paul. But a option to fix description just like the option to fix thumbnails would come in handy.

Yes...it's something else to look into to help things run more smoothly...

I understand well the point of your view Paul, but I didn't get any answer about my question.

"Selecting the "Update date" it must be something different from the option not to check the update date".

"If an author doesn't select the "update date" how can it be an abuse? "

So, can you tell me please why this option is there for?

Nikos...if the 'update date' is not selected then the work won't be displayed in the new updates section, so is naturally not a problem as such, but it is also there for the Moderators to uncheck when they see it checked only a day or two since the last 'update date'....which happens.

We're thinking of ways to improve this system...to enhance it further...and make life easier for all, especially with textual revisions...

I know Paul that it is not "a problem as such", but it is a problem for the authors who didn't select the "update date", they only have corrected a link or a typo in the description and they are still waiting for approval...

Exactly my problem. Thats why one of my sets of Command And Conquer is waiting approval. it was already approved but I had to correct a typo and now it has been 2 days and still not approved.

Damn typos. >

Damn typos

I just ignore them until the next major update.

Yeah, damn typos...thanks for creating more work for the admins

And for the rest, see #7

Adam...exactly, though the 'abuse' was prior to the 'update date' button being adopted.  At that time any amendment resulted in a new update exposure in the list so was often made use of, when perhaps it need not have been...

It's more politic usually to simply put in place ways to control the use/misuse than to publicly censure people by a status change....that's both overly drastic and ultimately unwarranted...

Just a heads up....the problem of the checked AND unchecked 'update' button which has caused this thread was part of the server crash and restoration problem.....and has been sorted.

In that regard, normal programming has been restored....

Thanks for the info Paul

Just curious. I updated a text spelling error in my Batman Logon. It has been waiting moderation for four days now. Yet, my Batman WB was uploaded as a new addition in one day. Shouldn't, according to the statements here, my Batman logon have got through moderation before a new addition. The Logon is still waiting. Thanks. I understand that you guys are busy. This site is becoming very popular and quite fun.

Chas....often different moderators will pre-occupy themselves with different areas....eg I hadn't looked through the Logon section for a few days....but will now...
